Are you looking for a charming and historical venue for a small wedding, event or meeting? The Union County Museum is pleased to offer their Little White Church for rent as an event facility. The building is ideal for weddings, meetings, celebrations, family reunions or other events.
Built in 1874, the former church building is located at 366 South Main Street, on the southwest corner of South Main Street and Dearborn Street, in the heart of Union. It sits beside City Hall and roughly across the street from the museum. Parking is available on both sides of Main Street and Dearborn.
The building has 840 square feet of floor space, plus a raised stage area that is 6 feet deep and 13 feet wide. There is an anti-room behind the stage that is suitable as a dressing room. The restroom is located off the anti-room. There is a utility room with a sink adjacent to the raised stage.
During the winter of 2016, the original wood flooring was restored and the interior walls and wood work were painted, leaving a very attractive venue.
The Little White Church has five white folding 8’ tables, four white folding 6’ tables, four fixed-leg 5’ tables and 27 padded folding chairs for your use. The floor space can accommodate approximately 75 people, so additional seating and tables are the responsibility of the event organizer.
To learn more about reserving the Little White Church for your event and to check for available dates from March through November, please contact Carol by phone (541.562.5279) or email (cjmulvany@ charter.net).
For general museum information call the museum’s front desk (541.562.6003) between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday. There is an answering machine for your messages in case the volunteer host is not available to respond.
