Livery Station

Reclaimed barn wood from North Powder and Cove, and to-scale replicas of barn, office and retail shop facades built by local artist David Schmidt provide a vintage backdrop for the Livery Station collections. Collections show how people lived and moved around more than an century ago.
Take a peek at the authentic pioneer cabin interior, moved from Catherine Creek and reconstructed onsite.
Our early transportation collection includes a Surrey, Mandt Wagon, yokes, and trunks. Guests will find a blacksmith shop, outfitted with bellows, grinding wheels, horseshoes, and iron-working tools needed to keep animals and people moving.
